No a la guerra - the power of the people

I was in Spain when the war broke out this year. It was a country that was supposedly "right behind" the antics of George W. The Demonstrations were large and extremly creative. The Power of the freedom of speech in all the countries I visited was amazing. Perhaps I notice it more living in a country where noone speaks out... no one uses graffitti, no one would dare deface ....anything.

Unfortunately whilst I was refreshed by people's committment to the cause in the UK, Spain, Berlin, Prague, France, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and even in the States... the relative lack of the power of the people, has never been more apparent... and the lack of actual democracy never more frightening.
