Chinatown HDB - bicycle

Comedy friday night, noodles and Pizza afterwards. Saturday PC shopping then wedding gift buying. Sunday High tea with the "ladies" and a much needed pedicure. Today? All alone with no partner, lots of work to do and a very strange posting in my guestbook.

I think I have Ben an Mira to thank!

"This or That Tuesday" questions
June 24: Everybody's Gone Surfin'!

1. Surf sites at random, or have a set list of regular reads?
Both, I have a few regular reads and after that I surf sites that have been recommended by them. Sometimes this leads to wanton sufing too :)

2. Do you visit mostly blogs, or news or other sites?
all types. The blogs I visit I generally visit regularly. I like photoblogs too and I have design portals I read all the time. then anything else that grabs me.

3. Do you go online every day, or just a couple of days a week?
everday. I'm all hooked up everywhere.

4. Do you allow comments on your blog, or not?
I tried and failed. I WISH I could but Blogger doesn'ty have a capacity for this. I would love to change my site over to Movable Type but don't know how :( And I don't want to lose my old blogs.

5. Do you shop online at all, or at regular stores?
Yes... I shop online, but my 2 favorite shops are closing down. I also go to regular stores of course but here in Singapore sizes can be a problem (especially when it comes to shoes).

6. Have you ever done online bill-paying/banking, or not?
its the ONLY way!

7. Which news site do you prefer... MSNBC.com or CNN.com? Or do you prefer some other one?
neither... THIS QUESTION IS WAY TOO AMERICAN!

8. Live chat rooms, or message boards?
I prefer love chats but my favorite chat portal is gone. (Chatalyst). Message boards are good but only when you don't need immediate responses.

9. Instant messaging or e-mail?
Email mostly... and instant messaging from time to time with a few select special friends and family. I do love the immediacy of it... but it can chew up time!

10. Yes or no: have you ever met, or at least talked on the phone with, another blogger? If not, would you want to? Why or why not? Why?
Yes. And I'd like to meet more of the great people I have met through our blogs.

happy 30th Lib and congratulations to you and Brad on your engagement

I am so slack.
It was my middle sister's 30th Birthday on Saturday and whilst I haven't sent her anything (she gets her gift in Albania), and whilst I spent 3 hours on the phone to her, I still haven't publicly wished her a happy 30th.

To top off her day, Brad, her lovely boyfriend, made it all the more perfect with a proposal and a ring.(romantically on a bridge in the Botanic Gardens). Yay, another wedding in the family (and hopefully I get to create the invitations)

Send them your best wishes at their new engagement guestbook

Secondly.... sick of spam? well I am! If I get another email telling me the sexual preferences of wives and mothers anywhere in the midwest, enlargements, viagra, or cheap and easy payment plans ( not to mention that guy from the bank in Nigeria who won't stop harrassing me!) I'll... well someone will be sorry!

Thanks to
heather I discovered knowspam today and my box has been blissfully innocent again.

Apologies if you are getting the "are you human": emails from the service. They will go away as soon as you respond for the first time. Believe me it IS worth it! (and right now if you sign up before July 15th, its free till January 2004 ... Go forth and be spam free!

Friday Five - Jun 13, 2003

1. What's one thing you've always wanted to do, but never have?

One thing! Only one? I wanted to travel alone so I did that this year. Act professionally? Perform in a real musical on the stage?

2. When someone asks your opinion about a new haircut/outfit/etc, are you always honest?
Absolutely. But occasionally I am a little non committal.

3. Have you ever found out something about a friend and then wished you hadn't? What happened?
Yes. Many times. I try to forget it and not let it cloud either my opinion of them, or of our relationship.

4. If you could live in any fictional world (from a book/movie/game/etc.) which would it be and why?
Does it have to be fictional as in like a fantasy world? Narnia from "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe", or perhaps the world of "Labyrinth" and of course there is always "Wonderland"

5. What's one talent/skill you don't have but always wanted?
Sportiness. of ANY type!
