bathtime buddies - Saturday, October 22, 2005
chardean, luella, maeve and jen
What fun! A bath together. At first I tough Maeve might be a tad too boisterous for young Luella but they were so ovely together. Splashing and pouring the water in and out of cups. Cousin Luella and Nigel and Chardean moved out yesterday and Maeve is still looking everywhere for them. She liked having a playmate living at her house.

Couldn't resist posting this one. We were off to get the film processed and I had a few shots left. What a gorgeous cheeky grin!

Piggy back action - Monday, October 17, 2005
Mum, Maeve, Nigel and Luella
The girls are getting along famously except when Maeve kisses Luella with her teeth or pats her too hard on the head. Ouch! sorry sweetheart!

Hanging out with my cousin Luella - Sunday, October 16, 2005
Luella joins the band
Cousin Luella, Uncle Nigel and Aunty Chardean arrived today from New York. They are staying with us for a week. Maeve and Luella have already had so much funning chasing each other about, having "piggy mummies" and "piggy daddies" and generally being two crazy little girls together. Well Maeve is especially crazy!

New Zoo Friends - Thursday, October 13, 2005
Aunty Bibby, Maeve and the stone Gorilla
Today we went to Taronga Zoo with Lib. Sadly there were no elephants but the meer cats, otters and chimanzees did a good job of entertaining. Maeve's exultant exclamation of "pussy" whilst watching the lions was greatly appreciated by the crowd. Aww.... She just loved it!
We'll go again soon.

Bye Bye Uncle Mark - Wednesday, October 12, 2005
a final cuddle at the international terminal
Maeve and I got up at 6 today to take Uncle Mark to the airport for his big overseas mission ( starting out in the States). It was a long moring. Mark had to reshuffle some suitcase weight and then after a 50 minute checkin he had to go through customs and immigration so we had a fast goodbye. Maeve was very cuddly though.
Next we jumped back in the car and Maeve fell asleep so I investigated Botany, La Perous and Malabar while I waited an hour and a half for Aunty Libby's plane to arrive from Adelaide. I thought I deserved a treat so I had a krispy Kreme.... yum. Then when Lb arrived in the rain we headed home for much needed naps. Yawn!

Chinese Maeve - Saturday, October 08, 2005
wearing Leo's chinese hat at his birthday bash
Today was Leo's first Birthday party. Maeve was certainly making use of all the toys and was enhoying all the many stairs in their gorgeous new home. Thanks to everyone who chased her about for me. Happy Birthday Leo!
This moring was also our hosue auction. A new and slightly boring experience. Many punters but no serious bidders... so far.

Finally I apparently have a "look" - Friday, October 07, 2005
Maeve and Muumy with Mummy's new haircut
My friends have been on my case about how I always tie my hair back in a pony tail. Today I finally got a "look" thanks to Dario Cotroneo, the best hair cutter in the business. Its a tad more labour intensive but so it should be. I spent no time at all on the pony tail I used to sport. All comments so far have been favourable. What do you all think?

Stories with Grandma
Maeve is now a 4 story at a time girl. We are reading so much to her. The same stories over and over and over. Hairy Mclary, Go Dog Go, How much do I love you, and many more. She can't get enough. It was so wonderful having some new storytellers.
Miss you already Mum!

playing with Grandpa - Tuesday, October 04, 2005
If you are happy and you know it clap your hands
Maeve has had a lovely time playing with Grandma and Grandpa. Its incredible how much her vocabulary has increased with having someone to chat with in the back seat of the car. We can say Apple, happy, Go Dog, Bee, Juice, Toast, Neigh Neigh, Fish, Baa Baa, Daddy, Mummy, Mimmy, Bibby, Up, Hello, Bye Bye, Hi, Plane, Pussy, Cat, Car, Eye, Ear, Hair, Shoe and more that slip my mind right now. We'll be sad to see my Mum and Dad go its been so lovely with them here.

tucking baby in to her new bed
Maeve was so excited to recieve some new gifts from her grandparents. They lugged a huge box all the way from Adelaide containing a bed and high chair for her beloved baby.
Baby has been in and out of bed ever since. Tucked in, kissed "nigh nigh". What lucky Babies I have.

Daddy and Daughter in the gong
Today we all headed to Wollongong to visit Aunty Mim and Uncle Dave. It was a glorious day so we walked to the beachside park ( I think it was North Beach) for a BBQ in the sunshine. Finally Mave got to crack out one of her many gorgeous summer frocks. We also sadly managed to lose her red velour zippy top on the walk :( What do we wear with our red stuff now?
Left Grandma and Grandpa in the Gong overnight. We'll see them back at our place for dinner again tomorrow.

Uncle Dave and Aunty Mim
In the Gong but not for long
This might be our last visit to the Gong as Mim and Dave shift to the big smoke next year. It was a glorious day for it though and Simon and Dave hit the non existant waves. At least the temp was nice and I guess it was good to get wet.
